Race 8: This one goes 7 furlongs on the main track which is likely to be wet come post time at 4:44pm. Trainer Wes Ward is having his usually successful meet so far and starts Thailand after giving him the summer off. He was last seen winning winning at a mile-and-a-sixteenth at Keeneland in April (I was there). He shortens up in his return and jockey Flavian Prat will again get a leg up and win today at a distance where he wins at above 40%.

The Bet: Race 8: $100 across the board on #1-THAILAND

Race 9: The Queen Elizabeth II goes 1-1/8th miles on the grass which should have some give to it come post time. 3-year-old filly Lookin at Diamond comes off a nice second place effort in the GI-Matron Oaks at Del Mar in August and looks to be rounding into form for trainer Leonard Powell. Old man Julien Leparoux makes the trip to Lexington for his only mount of the day which is an indication that this filly is going to produce a top effort.

The Bet: Race 9: $20 across the board on #8-LOOKIN AT DIAMOND

Race 8: This Allowance $120K goes 6 furlongs on the main track. I'm siding with the morning-line even-money favorite Cold Spell for trainer Wes Ward. This 3-year-old filly is coming off a July layoff where she broke her maiden in her third start at Saratoga. The key to this one is that Ward is giving a leg up to HOF'er Johnny V. which practically makes this one a certainty. The jockey/trainer combo wins at an astounding 36% at Keeneland and this percentage will only go higher once Cold Spell crosses the wire first.

The Bet: Race 8: $100 across the board on #5-COLD SPELL

Race 10: Friday's finale goes 6 furlongs on the main track for maidens and my eyes widened when I saw the morning-line odds of 15-1 on Jazzabelle for trainer Brendan Walsh. Offspring of sire Bolt d'Oro have been doing well at first asking and today will be no different. Don't let the modest works fool you because Walsh has been on fire in the first five days of the meet winning at a 27% clip. I'm all in on Jazzabelle.

Race 10: Today's finale goes 7 furlongs on the main track for maidens. Trainer Wes Ward goes turf to dirt with first time North American starter Classic Cause. We last saw this 4-year-old back in June of 2025 where he ran 3rd in a race at Lingfield in Great Britain (I wasn't there). Ward is winning at 29% this meet out a small seven race sample size. By the looks of the works, Classic Cause looks like he'll be ready for his first dirt try off the extended layoff.

The Bet: Race 10: $100 across the board on #1-CLASSIC CAUSE

Race 5: This race goes 7 furlongs on the main track for maidens as well. Trainer Rudy Brisset brings Hips of a Lady to Lexington where we last saw this daughter of Mo Donegal contest a mile turfer at Kentucky Downs where she finished up the track. Today she drops way down in class for her third lifetime start and goes Maiden Special to Claim where Brisset wins at a dominating 43%. She also adds blinkers which produces an outstanding win rate of 32% when Rudy makes that move. I love her 15-1 morning-line odds.

The Bet: Race 5: $20 across the board on #2-HIPS OF A LADY

Race 4: This Maiden Special goes 6 furlongs on the main track which should come up fast Wednesday. I'm Mr. MOTO when it comes to this race as we have connections of Brad Cox and Godolphin going to post with 2-year-old filly Jump Seat. She ran 2nd in her debut at Ellis Park under jockey Luan Machado and now switches to Irad Ortiz, Jr., who seems to be rounding into better shape after returning to racing this past Friday. This daughter of Flightline wins in a jog.

The Bet: Race 4: $100 across the board on #6-JUMP SEAT

Race 6: This Allowance Optional Claiming goes 1-1/16th miles on the main track. Trainer Matt Sims brings a 2-year-old Constitution filly named Strong Destiny off the bench where she ran poorly in two straight turf efforts that had fields that felt too difficult to overcome. Today feels like she's racing against a better level of company and Sims is going turf to dirt first off the May layoff. She's been working on the Keeneland dirt since August and the last bullet here tells me she's ready to roll. Love the 10-1 morning-line and likely to be higher with a field chock full of all the big jocks.

Race 9: The Grade I Spinster Stakes is the feature race on Sunday. The favorite will certainly be the Chad Brown-trained Fully Subscribed who is coming off a 9+ length jogging victory in the Personal Ensign at Saratoga. She's already qualified for the BC in four weeks but Sunday could be a public workout in preparation for her next start. This is the rub because Chad may just be wanting a race over the surface without going all-out. But even a race in-hand may win this one so I'm all in.

The Bet: Race 9: $100 across the board on #4-FULLY SUBSCRIBED

Results: WINNER! The race scratched down to three horses. Bet $100, cashed for $154

Race 5: This Allowance goes 5-1/2 furlongs on the lawn and I've landed on Twilight Delight trained by the relatively unknown Dan Leitch. This Twirling Candy colt has been improving each race and I'm banking on a wire-to-wire run with the addition of first time rider Jose Ortiz who is one-for-one when paired with this trainer this year. Jose should take him to the lead and never look back at morning-line odds of 12-1.

Race 7: The Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes goes 6-1/2 furlongs on the main track which should be rated Fast on Saturday. Trainer Rusty Arnold brings 4-year-old filly Echo Sound to Lexington to contest this Grade II event. She comes off a 4th place finish in the Ballerina Stakes at Saratoga going seven furlongs and now shortens up a bit against a class which will be more to her liking. Rusty points his barn towards this meet and Echo Sound will make it two-for-two today on a surface which she favors at Keeneland.

The Bet: Race 7: $100 across the board on #7-ECHO SOUND

Race 8: The Grade I First Lady Stakes goes a mile on the turf. I am pointing to the Cherie DeVaux-trained Deep Satin who is coming off a third place effort in the Boston Spa stakes at Saratoga. Even though she is 0-for-4 with two seconds on the Keeneland lawn, she appears to be in good form and has been in Lexington for the last month prepping for this race. Look for there to be plenty of pace in the this one that will benefit Deep Satin's late running-style. Her morning-line odds of 8-1 should float up to double-digits which makes her even more attractive.

The Bet: Race 8: $20 across the board on #6-DEEP SATIN

Race 7: The Phoenix GII goes 6 furlongs on the main track that should be wet according the local meteorologist. This field of 11 is loaded with speedsters and I've landed on 7-year-old Nakatomi for trainer Wes Ward. This veteran has won four times in seven starts at Keeneland including this very race last year. The expected blistering pace should set up perfectly for the closing running style of Nakatomi. And with jock Irad Ortiz, Jr. returning since being on the shelf with an ankle injury, you won't get much of a price but you should key him in ALL vertical and horizontal exotics.

The Bet: Race 7: $100 across the board on #10 - NAKATOMI

Results: WINNER! Nakatomi made a bold late move up the rail to win it! Cashed for $699

Race 6: A field of 10 maidens go 6 furlongs on the main track. Trainer Riley Mott's barn has been producing win after win with its 2-year-olds and I've landed on his firster Saltwater Soul who has been lighting up the mornings with bullet works. The 12-1 morning-line odds should hold come post time since jockey Jaime Torres will not attract the attention of others riding in this field like Prat, Gaffalione, Saez, and both Ortiz brothers. He'll be included in my doubles and late PK5 which starts here.
